Doune Hill, the highest of the Luss hills, via Beinn Eich and Beinn Lochan, 12 miles (5 on tarmac and 7 on grass) 3170 ft ascent to reach 2408ft on Doune Hillstarting from Luss This walk is fairly strenuous. A steep ascent to begin with then easier going over broad ridges, mostly grass. Return via Glen Mollochan, if dry, reverse route otherwise. Full equipment is needed – boots, gaiters, poles and waterproofs plus sufficient additional food and clothing. A clothing change is recommended. 9.00 Brymner Street

Meall Budhe, a Munro north of Glen Lyon. Starting from the parking area east of the Giorra dam of Loch an Daimh. 5.25 miles over grass to reach the summit at 3057ft after an ascent of 1804ft. One of the easiest Munros, there is a short walk over rough moorland followed by a broad ridge approach to the summit. Full equipment is needed – boots, gaiters, poles and waterproofs plus sufficient additional food and clothing. A clothing change is recommended. 8:00

Carn Gorm, Meall Garbh, Carn Mairg Meall nan Aighean. Four Munros on the north side Glen Lyon, starting from Invervar. 11 miles with 4297ft ascent to reach the summits at 3376ft, 3176ft, 3419ft and 3219ft respectively. Four rounded hills, mostly grassy with a few steep and rocky parts, linked by a series of broad ridges and bealachs.
