Langs Craggs. We'll park at Old Kilpatrick and walk along Clyde coastal path, then head up towards crags at Milton. An easy ascent up to the crags and we'll take the upper route over the crags. Return to Old Kilpatrick via coastal path. Around 10 miles walk. Great views on a clear day. 9:00

Scald Law and Carnethy Hill, Flotterstone. Scald Law is the highest of the Pentlands; this popular approach reaches it via a switchback ridge, taking in Carnethy Hill along the way. The return follows the minor road by the Loganlea and Glencorse reservoirs. Distance is 7.75 miles with clear hill paths; some rough sections.

A shorter, low level option is also available.

Ayrshire Coastal Path stages 4 and part of 5. Girvan to Culzean Castle. Route takes us from Girvan across Turnberry Golf Course to Culzean Castle before retracing our steps a little to the cars. About 11 miles. Leaving Brymner Street at 8.30 in order to be in Maidens in plenty of time to catch the 10.32 bus from Maidens to Girvan. 8.30

Glen Trool and Loch Trool circuit taking in part of the Southern Upland Way. Visiting the Martyrs Tomb and Bruce's Stone on the way, offering stunning views down Loch Trool. Arran Saddle/Glen Rosa. Glen Sannox route to Saddle and return via Glen Rosa. Ascent of approximately 2400 feet and distance of approximately 9 miles. Stunning views and scenery all the way. I'm proposing an overnight stop on Friday, with an opportunity for a short walk on Friday. There will also be an opportunity to travel across to Arran on Saturday morning. Brodick to Brodick via Glen Rosa. 9 miles. Circular walk starting at Brodick Pier, along Fisherman's Walk, following Easceanoch trail through woodland, a gorge, and grassy track to Glen Rosa, Return by path beside Glen Rosa Water, tarmac road and Fisherman's Walk to pier. Although the walk will depart later than the A walk, there is the choice of an overnight stay in Brodick or ferry on Saturday morning. More details to follow. Meet Ardrossan ferry terminal. Beinn Ime, a Munro starting from the Butterbridge just after the Rest and Be Thankful. Distance is 5 miles, 2788 feet total climb to reach 3317 height. Some hill paths which are steep and eroded in places, then steep climbing over the open hillside. Some easy scrambling required. This is a walk over moderately challenging terrain, rocky in places, boggy in others. Therefore, full equipment is needed, boots, poles, and waterproofs plus sufficient additional food and clothing. 9:00
